Talk: Hilary Nesi at 6th Learner Corpus Research Conference

Hilary Nesi was the opening plenary speaker at the  6th Learner Corpus Research Conference, held at the Università degli Studi di Padova, 22nd-24th September 2022, in conjunction with the international Learner Corpus Association (see http://www.maldura.unipd.it/lcr-2022/). The conference attracted participants from all over the world, with talks concerning topics such as phraseology, grammatical complexity, syntax, pragmatics, translation, writing development, and corpus annotation and analysis. Academic language was a topic of major interest,  and a number of the participants were working with the British Academic Written English (BAWE) corpus and/or the British Academic Spoken English (BASE) corpus, both of which have their official websites at Coventry University.
